There aren’t many places in the world that make a better back-drop for a wedding portrait than Niagara Falls.
Enjoy this wonderful candid image of a groom practising his “obeying” during a quick break from the photographic action!
There was a wedding going on while we were visiting Niagara Falls. They were having their portraits done in front of the falls and I caught this little break in the shoot. The groom took the opportunity to help his new bride fluff up her wedding gown.
Thanks for the image chrisjfry

“GENERAL VIEW, Niagara Falls. This view shows a marvelous picture from Falls View Bridge, 192 feet above the water. In this view of the falls, the beauty and vastness of the scene is most impressing.”

50 Years and Still a Gorgeous Couple
July 17, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Mr. & Mrs. Frank & Antoinette Campanaro of Cortland Manor, NY recently visited Niagara Falls, Canada for a very special occasion–fifty years of marriage!
This wasn’t the Campanaro’s first trip, however…they were returning 50 years after they first celebrated their honeymoon right here at the Canadian Falls. What a wonderful way to re-visit memories after all that time, and create some new ones too.
Luckily for us, Mr. and Mrs. Camapanaro kindly allowed us to feature some wonderful images from their honeymoon at Niagara Falls fifty years ago. And we have some terrific new memories captured from their recent second honeymoon, below.
Thank you for sharing these with our viewers!

Check out the rainbow behind us! It was a full rainbow — actually, a double rainbow. Totally looked fake. Gorgeous day, Alex didn’t even really complain about walking too much.

The extraordinary feeling of the raw power of the Falls is truly felt by virtually every visitor standing at the look-out. It’s often the kids, however, who really “get it”. Watch Carolina reach out and touch the magic!

Journey Behind the Falls
June 13, 2007 | 3 Comments
Most of us have an idea of what the Falls look like, more or less, even if we haven’t been there. Can you imagine what it feels like to be behind this thundering Wonder of the World?
If you’re the kind of traveller who loves to experience your destination to the fullest, then a walking tour underneath, behind and deep under the Niagara Falls might be just what you need.
The sound is like thunder, the sight awe-inspiring! Take a journey deep below and behind the heart of Niagara and stand in the mist where the mighty Horseshoe Falls tumbles from 13 stories above!
At Journey Behind the Falls, you’ll experience the awesome spectacle of one-fifth of the world’s fresh water crashing down 13 stories to the basin below. Every second during summer daylight hours, over 2,800 cubic meters of water thunders over the rim at 65 kilometers per hour. Yikes!

Niagara Falls at Night
May 26, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Seeing Niagara Falls is a magical experience for visitors at virtually any time of day or year. Still, it’s hard to top the Falls experience at night when the rainbow coloured lights turn on. Lighting the Falls so that visitors can enjoy the beauty of the mighty Niagara at night was first attempted more than 140 years ago!
In 1860, a spectacular illumination of the Falls celebrated a visit by the Prince of Wales. 200 coloured and white calcium, volcanic and torpedo lights were placed along the banks above and below both the American and Canadian Falls, as well as behind the water of the Horseshoe Falls. The lights were called Bengal lights and were the kind used at sea to signal for help or give warning.

Celebrity Appearance at the Falls

In 1953 Marilyn Monroe starred in a movie called “Niagara” with Joseph Cotten and Jean Peters. The movie would become one of 20th Century Fox’s biggest box office hits of the year.
Enjoy these delightful images of two wonders of the world!
Movie Review from 1953:
“Obviously ignoring the 7 wonders of the world, 20th Century Fox has discovered 2 more and enhanced them in Niagara. For the producers are making full use of the Falls and Monroe. The scenic effects in both cases are superb.”
—The New York Times
